The 1919 Pennant winning White Sox were considered an awesome ball playing machine, heavy favorites to win the World Series. The team that had everything, pitching, hitting and sparkling defense particularly shortstop Swede Risberg shown here starting double play action. Swede, along with Shoeless Joe Jackson and six others were banned from baseball in the 1919 scandal which nicknamed them the Chicago Black Sox.
Each piece it cast in bronze, mounted on a base of solid walnut with a brass plaque.
