In December of 1932, with relentless snow, bitter cold, and Wrigley Field a sheet of ice, the first NFL Championship game was played inside, at the Chicago Stadium. It came down to the final minutes of play, a running back for the Bears after being knocked out in the 3rd quarter, leaps into the end zone pulling in a pass to break a scoreless tie and went on to win the Championship 9-0 against the Portsmouth Spartans.
Each piece is cast in bronze, mounted on solid walnut with a brass plaque.
